Info about the Boggs Mountain Area -

Boggs Mountain demonstration
Forest sits on the top of Boggs Ridge. The forest is situated on a lava cap
that covers about 3/4 of the area, forming a gentle rolling summit breaking down
to the lower elevations on moderate to steep slopes. Most of the single track
trails are smooth, soft and forgiving with pine needles. There are a few areas
with rock outcroppings and Steep slopes. Volcanic rocks can be found on most of
the trails.


Weather:   October averages 3.5 inches of rain, average high of 77 and a low of 46
Elevation: 
The elevation will be about 4,500 with about 2,300 per loop.
Terrain:  80% winding single track with 20% dirt fire roads.
Cutoff Time:
   4.5 hours at the 25k aid station and 10 hours at the finish.
Route: 

Leg 1     15.7 miles 
A - (4 miles) First 2 miles on fire roads, Second 2 miles singletrack. Counterclockwise
B - (5.5 miles) Mostly singletrack clockwise.
C - (6.2 miles) Mostly singletrack clockwise.
